Technical validation workshop of the interim report on the cell broadcasting system
The Regional Climate Resilience Project (RCRP) held a technical validation workshop on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 8:30 a.m., dedicated to the interim report by TDS Group concerning the feasibility study of the cellular broadcasting system. The meeting took place in the conference room of the Directorate General of Civil Security (DGSC) and brought together the main relevant institutional and technical stakeholders, including the DGSC, the DTM, and Comoros Cables. The objective was to technically review the report, assess the proposed technological options, and ensure that the planned system aligns with national needs for early warning and climate risk management. The discussions helped to consolidate technical directions, identify necessary adjustments, and strengthen coordination among stakeholders to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of the future cellular broadcasting system. This step represents a significant advancement towards the implementation of a modern, reliable, and inclusive cellular broadcasting system, aimed at improving the effectiveness of public alerts in the face of climate risks.
