First meeting of the PRRC Project Steering Committee
The Ministry of Planning, through the UGP, held the first meeting of the Steering Committee for the PRRC Project, a strategic project funded by the World Bank, aimed at strengthening resilience and improving territorial planning.
The session was chaired by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Planning, and the proceedings were managed by the staff of the UGP, namely the National Coordinator of the PRRC Project, Mr. Samil CHAKIRA, and the RAF. This inaugural meeting marked a decisive step in the governance of the project. It notably made it possible to:
• Present the objectives, components, and expected results of the PRRC Project;
• Present the progress of activities since the project came into effect;
• Review and validate the strategic directions as well as the 2026 budgeted work plan;
• Strengthen coordination and synergy among the various stakeholders;
• Reaffirm the commitment of the actors involved towards effective, transparent, and inclusive implementation of the project.
In his speech, the Secretary-General of the Ministry praised the World Bank’s ongoing support and highlighted the importance of the PRRC Project in achieving national priorities in land-use planning, resilience, and sustainable development.
